i’m a Ukrainian-Jewish immigrant and a jack of all trades with a few specializations. I GRADUATED FROM THE ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN PROGRAM AT OCAD UNIVERSITY, WITH a double minor IN ILLUSTRATION & FURNITURE DESIGN.

I began my CAREER At nineteen aS A woodworker’s apprentice, and I’ve been working with my hands since. nothing sparks joy for me like transforming raw materials and bringing an idea into reality. i like to think of myself as a designer first, and an artist second, although the two are deeply intertwined and inseparable.

early on, I realized that most mediums are much more similar than they are different. one could refer to furniture as scaled-down architecture, or see graphic design as merely a two-dimensional sculpture. the basic principles of art & design are the elementary building blocks of any creative piece regardless of medium, and understanding this concept opens horizons to endless possibilities.
